Why Some Beeswax Tealights Sputter and Fade
Beeswax tealights are made with a very small wick. This small wick will clog up very
quickly if the beeswax used to make the tealight is not cleaned properly. The dirt that
clogs the cotton wicking is microscopic and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Tealights
made with dirty beeswax will sputter and fade after about 20 minutes.
Tealights made with clean beeswax should burn with a big , bright , beautiful flame .
Votive candles are made with a very small wick and also require very clean beeswax to
burn with a big , bright , beautiful flame.
